Top quality, source prices.
Three hundred Japanese granite mills, on land that was growing tea a thousand years ago and has not stopped since. The same leaf behind China’s biggest beverage brands, and industry clients across Japan, Europe and North America.
Six tencha lines. Growing, first processing and stone milling all happen inside one network, not farmed out along the way.
Every lot meets US import requirements. Organic lots are certified to USDA, EU and JAS standards.
Around 2,400 hectares of gardens across the network, about 187 of them certified organic.
The collection
Every lot here whisks, blends and bakes. All of it is shade-grown and milled on Japanese granite — color, fineness and taste are what separate the grades. Longjing 43 and above are ceremonial. Conventional quality is available for every grade — organic or not, every lot is produced to the same food-safety standards.
Our greenest
The greenest lot we mill, with a mild tea flavor.
US standard
Our most economical lot. Stronger tea flavor, and the bitterness carries through sugar and dairy.
EU standard
Certified organic. Mild and fine in flavor.
Single cultivar
Milled from Longjing 43 leaf. A bean-like aroma.
Top of the selection
The best grade we carry. Certified organic.
Roasted
Not a matcha — roasted green tea, milled the same way. Caramel and toasted rice, almost no bitterness, lower in caffeine.
One lot, five ways it leaves your kitchen.

Song porcelain
Hand-thrown in the Jun tradition, where copper and iron move in the fire. Vases, lidded jars, censers and trays, available to specialty retailers, tea rooms and restaurants, and for corporate gifting.
Every piece is one of one. A small collection is held. We work with the kiln directly, so larger numbers can be made on request. The form repeats. The color never does.
About
The gardens we buy from have followed Japanese processing method in Hangzhou and Shaoxing, Zhejiang, since 1996 — Japanese cultivars, Yabukita, Saemidori and Okumidori, grown under shade and milled on Japanese granite. The organic gardens are certified to EU, USDA and JAS standards, and every lot is tested by Eurofins Scientific.
There is one step between those mills and your counter, and it is us. What you save is distance.
Tea at its source. Song China is where it still grows, and where the celadon beside it was made — quiet forms, one moment of color.
